A man’s friend, who was in the process of buying a vehicle from him, reported the friend’s girlfriend reportedly had taken the vehicle without permission and was refusing to return it. Dispatchers told the man the registered owner would have to report it as stolen or that is was “unauthorized use.” The man hung up. The boyfriend later called in and said he would get more information to fill out a statement. Eventually, the girlfriend reportedly agreed to return the vehicle.
