HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Voters in five Connecticut legislative districts are returning to the polls.

Democratic Gov. Ned Lamont announced Friday he's chosen Feb. 26 for special elections to fill three vacant state Senate seats and two vacant House of Representatives seats.

The five Democratic incumbents all resigned before the General Assembly session opened on Wednesday in order to accept jobs in Lamont's new administration.

Special elections will be held in the 3rd Senate District, which includes East Hartford, East Windsor, South Windsor and portions of Ellington; the 5th Senate District, consisting of Burlington, West Hartford and portions of Bloomfield and Farmington; and the 6th Senate District, consisting of Berlin, New Britain and part of Farmington.

Elections will also be held in New London's 39th District House seat and East Haven's 99th District House seat.
