Twins A, Lakers AA post Legion baseball victories

Coby Clark-Dickinson and Chad Queen combined on a 2-hitter and Clark-Dickinson doubled, homered and drove in three runs as the Glacier Twins blanked the Kalispell Lakers 13-0 in Class A American Legion baseball play on Wednesday evening at Griffin Field.

Glacier pounded out 16 hits in the Western Division contest.

Nathan Hader had the other extra base hit, a double, for the Twins.

Clark-Dickinson pitched four innings. He fanned five batters and walked two. Queen pitched the fifth inning. Both allowed one hit.

Clark-Dickinson, Jack Schwaiger and Jay Tyree had three hits each.

Hader and Austyn Andrachick both had two.

On Tuesday, the Lakers swept the visiting Libby Loggers 5-3 and 9-3.

MEDICINE HAT, Alberta — Strong pitching carried the Kalispell Lakers to a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday evening over the Moose Monarchs.

Wes Palmer limited Medicine Hat to three singles over seven innings and Eric Seaman, Taylor Morton and Luke Halland each drove in a run as the Lakers won the first game 4-0.

Palmer struck out one batter and handed out just two walks.

Kobe Burland had two of the Lakers’ seven hits. Randy Stultz doubled.

Logan Siblerud pitched 5 2/3 innings to get the win in the 8-1 second game victory. He struck out six, walked five and allowed two singles. Ryan McDonald went the final 1 1/3 inning.

Randy Stultz led the Lakers hit parade, going 3 for 4 and driving in two runs.

Seaman and Jack Corriveau also had two RBIs each.

Ryan Symmes, 2 for 4, and Halland, 2 for 4, were the other leading hitters.

Five other Lakers had one hit each.

Corriveau and Seaman both doubled.

A five-run second inning and three runs in the sixth completed the Lakers scoring.

The Lakers and Monarchs played a singled game Wednesday afternoon, but no results were available.

The Lakers improved to 5-6 in the standings. Medicine Hat slipped to 3-8.
