Event begins today at Rebecca Farm

The Event at Rebecca Farm kicks off today in Kalispell with dressage for levels CCI2*-L, novice and training three-day (N3D), intermediate and preliminary and cross country for novice and training levels starting at 8 a.m.

Dressage for CCIOY3*-S (young riders) begins at 8:30 a.m.

It’s the 19th year the event has been held at Rebecca Farm. It has grown every year its been held and is among the largest three-day events held in the northwest. There are approximately 650 riders competing at Rebecca Farm this year, ranging from lower levels to Olympic-caliber eventers that hail from all corners of the United States.

Course designer Ian Stark led horses, riders and media on a tour of the course on Wednesday.

One new jump includes toy cars on a track above a couch called “The Trotter.” A rope moves the cars up and down the track.

The Event runs through Sunday.
