Wayne Marvin, 79

Wayne Marvin, 79, passed away on Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at his residence in Kalispell. He was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Miles City, to G.M. and Lura (Storer) Marvin.

Wayne grew up in Miles City and graduated from high school there. He married Alfay Anderson on Nov. 7, 1963, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

He joined the U.S. Army in February 1951, and was honorably discharged in 1954. He served in France as a wrecker operator.

He worked for Tutvedt and Grosswiler Farms. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alfay; one sister, Francis; and two brothers; Bud and Newton.

He is now survived by his five sons, Kerry, Thane, Bryant and Ben Marvin, all of Kalispell, and Alan Marvin of Spokane; two grandchildren, Scott and Makenna; and one brother, Charles Marvin, of Kalispell.

Private memorial services will be held.
