WHITEFISH — The Glacier Twins swept a doubleheader against Kootenai Valley on Wednesday night, winning the games in decidedly different fashion.
Glacier eked out the opener, 7-6, thanks to a late single from Vincent Smith to score the winning run. His hit, with two outs in the seventh inning, came just two batters after a two-run single by Nic Muus tied the game at 6-6. Muus finished the game 2-for-3 with four RBIs.
The Twins didn’t need to rally in the nightcap, scoring a pair of runs in each of the first three innings and six in the fourth to take a commanding 12-3 lead midway through the game. Glacier won 14-7.
