Airport alternatives

I attended the meeting on the future of South Kalispell. Most in attendance realized the airport has passed its time and has no economic value to Kalispell. 

People spoke of wanting apartment complexes to take up the space of the city-owned airport property. Personally I feel that is a good idea as it is close to downtown and south-end businesses. Also there are plans to put in a school or schools just down the block. 

As for the rest of the area that they were asking for ideas and many had lots of suggestions. Such as a Montana wildlife zoo, amusement park, veterans cemetery, RV camping, fairgrounds relocation, hotels and vacation venues. Now we just need to send out notices to investing businesses around the country to come and invest in Kalispell. South Kalispell is prime real estate. —Scott Davis, Kalispell
