Can't give special status to everyone who is 'different'

| April 11, 2015 9:00 PM

The idea that some person feels and the key word is “feels” that he or she would feel more comfortable in a sporting event that matches their personal inner identification is absolutely insane.

Is this what our progressive secular society is trying to achieve, everybody gets a trophy and everyone is equal? If your kid is so screwed up that he or she cannot identify with their sex when it comes to athletic participation, what in God’s name are they going to do in “real life?”

Perhaps we should create a whole new unique class of people and enroll those people in a “special transgender educational program”? Then we could have the Transgender NCAA playoffs in volleyball, football, track, and baseball? How about in pro sports? The Super Bowl of the Transgender in a gridiron showdown or the World Series of Transgender and the Daytona Transgender 500 and then we can expand to the Olympics of Transgender. The possibilities are endless.

To the Kalispell school board. There is a huge medical center here in Kalispell, and I would suggest very strongly that each and every one of you who are even considering this sort of thing to be part of the educational agenda for students, go and have your heads examined. —Jim Garvey, Kalispell
