Is Montana for sale? Do you want to help put Montana on the market? Here is a step-by-step guide how to do it:

1. Pass SB 262 to place Montana’s water (and energy) under control and management of a foreign entity (tribal government).

2. Pass SB 307 to provide the corporate and marketing structure for conducting non-profit, tax free business and social operation.

3. Give the tribal UMO authority to control, distribute and reduce irrigation water allocation on and off the reservation.

4. Farmers unable to continue paying taxes on land that cannot provide a living for them will be forced to sell out.

5. No other farmer would buy land without water. The government would buy it for non-tax paying purposes such as wilderness, recreation, buffalo commons, natural resource and wealth extraction, etc. Much wildlife would die off for lack of water and food.

6. With the ag industry destroyed, along with the timber and aluminum plant, the economy of the region will be destroyed.

7. Tax base will be destroyed and community services lost: schools, highways, utilities. But then, who will need them? We’re moving out.
