Volleyball roundup: Bigfork tops Troy for first District 7B win of season
BIGFORK — It was all Bigfork as the Valkyries rolled by Troy 25-20, 25-15, 25-16 in a District 7B volleyball match on Saturday afternoon.
Lana Berg led Bigfork in aces (5) and blocks (3).
Brooke Fraley had 11 of Bigfork’s 34 kills.
“Our first conference win,” Bigfork coach Schuyler Baird said.
“I think we’ve had five matches that have gone five games and we’ve lost all of them. This was a good one for us. It came at the right time.”
Bigfork lost to Troy back on Oct. 3 in five sets.
“A great team effort,” Baird said.
“We’ve had some injuries and we’ve had to change some personnel around.”

EUREKA — Eureka had Thompson Falls on the ropes, but the Blue Hawks rallied for a wild 22-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-18, 15-7 District 7B volleyball win.
The win pushed Thompson Falls to 7-0 in league play.
Eureka falls to 4-3.
Thompson Falls beat Eureka earlier in the season 3-1.
Amanda Peterson had 25 kills for the Lions, four blocks, 20 digs and three aces.
Liz Pacella totaled 30 assists for the Lions.

Ronan 3, Stillwater 2
Ronan won the second, fourth and fifth sets to defeat Stillwater Christian School 15-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-21, 15-11 in a nonconference matchup at Stillwater Christian School.
It was the regular-season final for Stillwater, which finishes 11-12 overall.
Dorothy Smith had 14 kills and 16 digs for Stillwater. Helena Hashley added 10.
Up next for Stillwater is the Montana Christian Athletic Association state tournament, which begins Thursday at Stillwater.

Libby earlier went 0-3 in Pool A play, falling to Butte Central 25-18, Livingston 25-20 and Stevensville 25-20.
