Wildkat spikers stay undefeated

COLUMBIA FALLS — Columbia Falls volleyball stayed undefeated in Northwest A with a three-set victory over Polson on Thursday.

The Wildkats won 25-14, 25-22, 25-13 and are 6-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

Polson is 4-2 and 2-2.

Mady Hoerner had a strong outing for Columbia Falls with 18 kills, four service aces and two blocks.

Hannah Schweikert checked in with 34 assists for the Kats and 12 digs.

“Huge offensive night for Mady Hoerner with 18 kills,” said Wildkats coach Jolandie Brooks. “McKenna Rensel had a great defensive night with 17 digs.”

Glacier 3, Hellgate 2

MISSOULA — The Glacier Wolfpack bounced back from a two-set deficit to beat Missoula Hellgate 3-2 in Western AA volleyball Thursday.

Glacier won 20-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-14, 15-5.

Morgan Hernandez had four service aces and 21 digs.

Kills - 53 (Sidney Gulick 13, Kynzie Mohl 11, Emma Anderson 11); Assists - 50 (Kaylee Fritz 44); Aces 7 (Morgan Hernandez 4); Digs 73 (Hernandez 21, Fritz 15, Gulick 11); Blocks 2 (Fritz 1, Mohl 1).

Stats for Missoula Hellgate were not available.

Ronan 3, Whitefish 1

WHITEFISH — The Ronan Maidens knocked off the Whitefish Lady Bulldogs in four sets, winning 25-15, 25-21, 25-18, 25-19 in a Northwest A game.

“Whitefish came out flat and struggled to put a solid game in tonight,” Whitefish coach Addy Connelly said. “The girls have been working hard and the flow will come.”
