Local softball players honored
BELGRADE — Several local softball players have been honored as members of teams at the 8th annual Veterans Memorial Classic.
The rosters for the Laverne Parrish Army Team, Dean Pogreba Air Force Team, Michael Kirkpatrick Coast Guard Team, Richard Coleman Navy Team and Louis Charlo Marines Team were announced on Saturday evening.
Members of the Glacier High School Wolfpack at the tournament are Kynzie Mohl, Ella Farrell, Sammy Labrum and Kenadie Goudette. Glacier head coach Abby Connelly will coach the Richard Coleman Navy team.
Polson softball players on rosters are Lexy Orien, Mckenna Hanson, Katelyne Druyvestein and Kobbey Smith. Columbia Falls will be represented by Alyssa Blankenship, Eureka by Michael Shea and Katie Schmidt and Libby by Taylor Munro.
The two-day tournament will be played Aug. 6-7 at the Belgrade Softball Complex.
