Big 5th inning lifts Bravettes over Wildkats
A big fifth inning, sparked by Karissa Comer’s two-run double, helped Flathead beat Columbia Falls 8-6 in a non-conference softball game on Senior Night at Kidsports on Monday.
Comer, who also pitched the seventh inning for the save, broke a 3-3 tie with her double, and Kyrah Farrington followed with a two-run single for a 7-3 lead.
Ilyssa Centner pitched six innings for the Bravettes, striking out four. Alyssa Cadwalder had a double and two RBIs for Flathead as well for Flathead (3-10).
Aletheia Fisher had two hits, an RBI and scored once for the Northwest A Wildkats (9-9). Sydney Mann had two hits, including a double, and drew double-duty on the mound: She started, left in the third inning and then threw the last two innings for Columbia Falls.
