Tennis and track crosstown duals on tap today

A host of local high school athletic events are set for today, including two crosstown matchups: Flathead plays at Glacier in softball at 3 p.m., and Glacier plays Flathead in Tennis at FVCC, also at 3.

Glacier’s softball team is 16-2, including a 9-2 mark in the Western AA. Flathead is 5-13 and 4-9, but had won three of four before a doubleheader loss at the hands of Butte Tuesday. Glacier won the first two matchups 4-0 and 8-7.

The first crosstown tennis dual ended in a split: Flathead’s girls cruised 8-0, and Glacier’s boys prevailed 5-3.

In track and field, Missoula Sentinel has a dual at Glacier at 3, at the same time Flathead takes on Whitefish in Whitefish.

Meanwhile, Polson is at Columbia Falls for a track and field dual between two Northwest A teams.
