Twins go 1-3 in Butte
BUTTE — Stevyn Andrachick tallied four hits, including a first-inning home run, as the Glacier Twins rolled past the host Butte Miners, 14-7, on Sunday.
Andrachick was 4-for-5 with three RBIs.
The Twins led 9-5 after two innings, then added three runs in the fourth and two more in the sixth. They finished the game with 16 hits.
Jacob Polumbus collected the win. He went four innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out four.
But that’s where the good news ended for the Twins.
They fell 8-0 to Belgrade in their second game of the day. They also lost two games to Butte on Saturday — 9-5 and11-10.
George Robbins was 2-for-3 against Belgrade.
The lost the first game, 9-7, after Butte’s Kian O’Neill broke a 7-7 with a with a groundout RBI in the bottom of the sixth. The second game came down to the last play, but the Twins fell 11-10 in that one when an error in the bottom of the seventh scored a run for Butte.
