Range Riders rout PaddleHeads again, 13-2
Ryan Cash and Robbie Scott homered, Drew Sims had another big game and the Glacier Range Riders won their second straight Pioneer League game from Missoula Wednesday, 13-2.
Noah Barros picked up his sixth win on the mound, allowing just four hits in seven innings of work. He fanned two, and got all the runs he needed in the first, when Sims capped a four-run outburst with a two-run double.
Cash hit an RBI single in the second inning and a three-run home run, his third, in the eighth. The latter put the Range Riders (3-5 this half) up 12-2.
Scott — playing his second game — started the eighth with his first professional homer to make it 9-2.
Missoula, the first-half champion for the North Division, fell to 4-4. Lamar Sparks and Cameron Thompson hit solo homers for the PaddleHeads.
Sims, who like Scott joined the ballclub on Tuesday, had three hits and three RBIs.
The two teams continue their six-game series at Flathead Field tonight at 7:05 p.m. Games can be streamed on youtube.com.
