No. 29290 NOTICE OF BUILDING RESERVE LEVY ELECTION  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of School District No. 58 (Olney-Bissell), Flathead County, Montana (the “District”), that an election of the registered voters of the District will be held by mail ballot election on May 2, 2023 for the purpose of voting on the question of whether the Board shall be authorized to impose a building reserve levy of 13 mills per year to raise approximately $53,053 per year for 15 years, for a total amount of approximately $795,795, for the purpose of providing funds to pay or secure a loan or a bond to finance the costs of improvements to the school campus, including installing a new septic system, replacing the existing school building roof cover, and clearing trees and excavation work on the school grounds to accommodate a modular unit to be acquired with funds currently available to the District, and, if proceeds are available, replacing exterior school doors and repairing some or all of the fencing around the school grounds, and related improvements and costs; and paying costs associated with such a loan or a bond. If this building reserve levy proposition passes, it is estimated that, using current assessed values of taxable property in the District, property taxes on a home with an assessed market value for tax purposes of $100,000 will increase by approximately $17.55 per year, on a home with an assessed market value for tax purposes of $200,000 will increase by approximately $35.10 per year, and on a home with an assessed market value for tax purposes of $300,000 will increase by approximately $52.65 per year.  The election will be conducted by the District Clerk solely by mail ballot.
