McIlhargey pitches Bravettes over Knights for first victory

MISSOULA — Macey McIlhargey threw a complete game four-hitter, and MacKenzie Brandt drove in three runs to lead Flathead to its first softball win of the season, 8-1 over Missoula Hellgate on Friday.

McIlhargey allowed two walks and hit two batters while striking out seven. The Bravettes (1-1) saw Ava Besson, Reece Conley and Brandt get two hits each; Conley stole a base and scored three times.

Lacie Franklin and Kaidyn Lake hit doubles.
