Goudette, Wolfpack rally past Big Sky
MISSOULA — Kenadie Goudette drove in three runs and Glacier offset Missoula Big Sky’s six-run inning with one of their own to beat the Eagles 13-8 in Western AA softball Tuesday.
Ella Farrell went the distance on the hill for Glacier (3-0), scattering 14 hits — six, including doubles by Delaney Laird, Jordan Whitmire and Sadie McGuinn, came in that big third inning — and no walks, and fanning five.
Big Sky supplied most of the extra-base power, but the Wolfpack drew nine walks to go with 12 hits. Goudette’s RBI single drew Glacier even at 7-7 in the fifth inning. Avery Anderson scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball in that frame, in which the Pack also were issued three free passes.
Cooke drew three walks and scored three times, and supplied an insurance run with an RBI double in the seventh. Khirsten Terrell, Cazz Rankosky and Anderson all scored twice for the Pack.
