Moultray, Mann lead Wildkats over M-A-C
ST. IGNATIUS — Maddie Moultray threw a 5-inning one-hitter, Sydney Mann hit a two-run home run and Columbia Falls downed Mission-Arlee-Charlo 14-0 in non-conference softball action Friday.
The Wildkats (7-3) took advantage of eight Mission errors to five unearned runs. Mann’s homer capped a three-run second inning that put her team up 14-0. She also hit a double and scored three times. Haden Peters had two hits and scored three runs as well.
Mission had some traffic on the base paths — Moultray issued three walks and hit two batters — but managed just one hit, by Jerny Crawford in the third inning. Moultray fanned five Bulldogs before the game ended under the mercy rule.
