Skincare product maker joins Paint, Metal & Mud artists co-op
Michelle McLaughlin, a soap maker who has developed a line of bath and body skincare products, has joined the Paint, Metal & Mud Gallery and Gift Shop in downtown Kalispell.
McLaughlin owns Montana Pure Skin, a local business she started three years ago. Since then she has expanded her product line to include a variety of bath and body items. Her products include handcrafted soaps, bath fizzies, shampoo bars, fragrance rollers, hydrating mists and other specialty products.
“Back in 2019, I was feeling lost and searching for a sense of purpose,” McLaughlin recalled. “That’s when a friend gifted me a bar of handcrafted soap, and I became completely fascinated with it. I was so intrigued that I ended up taking a class on how to make soap myself.”
After her products were a hit with family and friends, she took the leap of starting her business. Montana Pure Skin products are now sold in stores across Montana, and she has sold products to customers in more than 30 states.
Paint, Metal & Mud is an artists cooperative and is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, call the gallery at 406-755-8886.
