BOZEMAN — The Bravettes held off Bozeman for as long as they could, but Hadley Brown broke through to give the Hawks a 1-0 win Saturday in their Class AA quarterfinal game.

“We came to play today,” Flathead coach Zach Brenneman said. “It was a battle. From the moment the kickoff was taken we didn’t back down. We created a couple of really good chances that we weren’t able to capitalize on.”

Flathead keeper Joy Sund put in an impressive performance against the unbeaten Hawks, making 15 saves to keep the Bravettes in the game. Brown scored in the 65th minute.

“Huge shoutout to Joy Sund, probably had her best game of the season,” Brenneman said. “Across the board, our back line was finding their marks, our center backs were all over the place. I’m really proud of the team and proud of what we were able to do.”

The Bravettes finished the season 6-6-3.
