Annual Great Bear Festival brings beers and food to downtown Kalispell

| August 8, 2024 12:00 AM

Popular summer brewfest the annual Rotary Great Bear Festival is Aug. 10 at Depot Park in Kalispell.

The event raises funds for Kalispell Rotary clubs’ community projects.

Last year more than 1,200 people enjoyed great music and food, sampled dozens of outstanding beers from local and regional breweries, and tasted lovely wines, ciders, and sparkling waters — all for the benefit of the Flathead community.

Gates open at 3 p.m. and close at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at www.greatbearfestival.com or at the gate.

Adults 21 and older are $40, 13-20 years old and non-drinkers are $10; and children 12 and under are free.

The $125 VIP Tent features special visits from brewers and vintners, select wines, ciders, and beers; and sumptuous catering by Desoto Grill and House of S&M.

Glacier Institute will provide games for the kids while grown-ups compete for honors in the Great Bear Stein Race.
