Live music and documentary featured at Wachholz College Center in August
From enchanting music to a compelling documentary film, there’s a diverse range of performances and screenings coming to the Wachholz College Center this month.

Girl Named Tom, the first-ever trio to win NBC's The Voice, will perform on Sunday, Aug. 11. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Known for their harmonizing vocals and heartfelt performances, this sibling trio of Bekah, Joshua, and Caleb Liechty has been captivating audiences nationwide. They’ve impressively generated millions of streams across chart-rattling covers such as “River,” “The Chain,” and “Dust in the Wind.” The proud Midwesterners gained further traction with the independent "Another World" EP.
Their unique blend of folk, pop, and soulful melodies promise an unforgettable evening of music.
On Aug. 16, the stage will be graced by the extraordinary violinist Wai Mizutani joined by acclaimed composer and pianist Kui Dong for a concert of old classical favorites and new-to-Montana original works by Kui Dong.
In the concert titled Masterpieces 4: Wai and Kui with Friends, attendees will be treated to a night of classical masterpieces performed with exceptional artistry. Mizutani's renowned skill and emotional expression will be complemented by the collaborative brilliance of his guest performers.

Country music legend Clint Black will celebrate the 35th anniversary of his groundbreaking album Killin' Time with a special performance on Aug. 25. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Black's influence on the country music scene is undeniable. Fans can expect to hear classic hits and fan favorites, making for a night of nostalgic and heartfelt country music.
For the first time ever, he’ll play the groundbreaking record live start to finish followed by more of his legendary hits.
A true triple threat singer/guitarist/songwriter, Black has sold more than 20 million records, written and recorded 22 No. 1 singles, and has been awarded nearly two dozen gold and platinum awards, a GRAMMY, and numerous CMA, ACM and American Music Awards. He’s a member of the Grand Ole Opry and has been honored with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Nashville Walk of Fame. His musical style encompasses traditional country, honky-tonk and Western swing.
Rounding out the month, on Aug. 29, is the screening of the powerful documentary film “Bring Them Home", which tells the story of a small group of Blackfoot people and their mission to establish the first wild buffalo herd on their ancestral territory since the species’ near extinction a century ago.
Narrated by Academy Award-nominated Blackfeet / Nez Perce actor Lily Gladstone, the film is co-directed by Blackfeet siblings Ivan and Ivy MacDonald with Daniel Glick.
The event will also feature a performance by “Supaman” — a world-renowned Native American dancer and innovative hip hop artist who has dedicated his life to empowering and spreading a message of hope, pride and resilience through his original art form.
