Briefs: Glacier, Flathead football teams gear up
Wolfpack football check-in is Thursday
Wolfpack Football begins Thursday with check-in from 5-8 p m., at Glacier High School, according to coach Grady Bennett.
Instructions for submitting forms and paying fees online can be found on the web at https://www.glacierwolfpackfootball.com/2-a-days-info. Two-a-day practices begin at 7:40am Friday. A practice schedule can also be found at glacierwolfpackfotoball.com, along with Glacier’s game calendar.

Flathead football gears up Thursday
The Flathead Braves’ football team is reminded that for the JV and varsity, gear handout ias at 2:30 p.m. at Flathead High.
The teams reconvene at 9 p.m. for team snack, meetings and a walk through, followed by a midnight practice at Legends Stadium.
C-Falls’ Golan in Bobcat camp
Kai Golan, a standout soccer player and place kicker out of Columbia Falls, is one of two placekickers added to fall drills by Montana State football coach Brent Vigen, 406mtsports.com reported Tuesday.
Vigen didn’t name the other camper, but the Bobcats already had Casey Kautzman out of Butte and sophomore Myles Stansted out of Minnesota on the roster. Last fall MSU used senior Brendan Hall and Kautzman intermittently. The duo made 10 of 19 field goals and 57 of 73 PAT attempts.
Golan was 44 of 50 on PATs and 2 of 6 on field goals last fall for the Wildcats, who advanced to the State A title game.
Soccer season ran at the same time and he scored 23 goals with six assists for Columbia Falls; as a junior he had 16 goals to help the Wildcats win the State A title.
Whitefish Lake ace for Clark
Cam Clark used a 6-iron to ace No. 4 on the North Course at Whitefish Lake Golf Club on Monday.

Macor gets ace at Northern Pines
Emmitt Macor scored a hole-in-one last Thursday, Aug. 8, on No. 4 at the Northern Pines Golf Club.
