Musical comedian Reggie Watts comes to Kalispell
Comedian, actor, musician and beatboxer, Reggie Watts, comes to Kalispell Sept. 15.
Born in Germany, raised in Great Falls, and currently residing in Los Angeles, Watts is celebrated for his performances that blend music and comedy into a unique, improvisational experience using his “formidable voice, looping pedals and vast imagination.”
The former bandleader for “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and house musician for the IFC show “Comedy Bang! Bang!”
As a solo performer, Watts brand of musical comedy led to sold-out headlining tours including festivals such as Bonnaroo, SXSW and Bumbershoot, to name a few.
In 2020, he released a content app called, WattsApp, “a techno-savvy look into his life, work, and techno junk drawer,” according to a press release.
In 2016, Watts’ first Netflix special “Spatial” released to critical acclaim, with the New York Times calling it “a giddy rush of escapist nonsense” and dubbing Watts “the most influential absurdist in comedy today.”
His latest comedy special “Never Mind,” captures the past, present and future of comedy and is available on the livestreaming service Veeps.
Watt’s memoir, “Great Falls, MT — Fast Times, Post-Punk Weirdos, and a Tale of Coming Home Again,” was published on Oct. 17, 2023, by Penguin Random House’s Tiny Reparations Books.
The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Wachholz College Center at Flathead Valley Community College. Ticket prices range from $38.50 to $61.60, which includes service fees. Tickets may be purchased online at wccmt.org or by calling the ticket office at 756-1400.
