Glacier outduels Hellgate

Glacier and Missoula Hellgate squared off in a dual meet Tuesday at Glacier High with the Wolfpack outscoring the Knights 51-15 for the win.

Noah Horn moved up to heavyweight for the Wolfpack and earned a pin over Hellgate’s Jayden Friesen. Also earning pins for the Wolfpack were Payton Steward (126), Emery Bergstedt (132), Kaleb Shine (145), and Mckayde Clevenger (152).

Glacier head coach Ross Dankers was enthusiastic about his team’s performance.

“The boys were very aggressive and offensive and were setting the tempo throughout the duel,” said Dankers. “Shout out to Emery Bergstedt for getting a pin in one of his first few varsity matches, and Noah Horn, bumping up to get a pin against their heavyweight.” 

Aiden Sweat also had a notable win via tech fall for the Wolfpack at 113 pounds and Garrett Bosch tacked on a win by points at 120 pounds for Glacier.
