Listen to holiday classic performed at the Conrad Mansion

| November 28, 2024 12:00 AM

Listen to the sounds of “A Christmas Carol” while taking in the historic Conrad Mansion Museum.

The Gypsy Theatre Guild will perform the Charles Dickens’ classic famously dramatized for the radio on Dec. 6, 7 and 8.

Actors will be on the second floor as guests listen to the 90-minute holiday classic in the mansion’s festively decorated Great Hall.

“A Christmas Carol” recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. In the process, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.

The radio version is based on Orson Welles’ original play and was famously dramatized for the radio and narrated by Welles and featuring Lionel Barrymore as Ebenezer Scrooge in 1939 on Christmas Eve.

Reservations are required. Tickets are $35 per adult, $30 per senior, and $15 per teen/child. Tickets are only available for purchase online at www.conradmansion.com.

All proceeds benefit the Conrad Mansion Museum and the Gypsy Theatre Guild.

The show is a family-friendly event.

The Historic Conrad Mansion Museum is located at 330 Woodland Avenue in Kalispell.
