Big third quarter lifts Sentinel boys over Flathead
MISSOULA — Missoula Sentinel’s Carson Towe scored 27 points and fueled a big third quarter that carried the Spartans over Flathead 62-46 in Western AA boys basketball Thursday.
Towe hit three 3-pointers, all during 21-8 third-quarter Spartan surge. Sentinel (5-6 overall, 3-3 in the Western AA) opened the second half on a 15-1 run to lead 40-24, before Flathead’s Lyric Ersland scored to end the run.
Ersland had 15 points and Korbin Eaton added 12 for the Braves (2-9 overall, 0-6 in league), who got as close as 48-38 in the fourth quarter. Both players hit a pair of 3-pointers.
