Cole Moses and Luke Dalen each ran for a touchdown for the Bulldogs, who trailed throughout. The Broncs, taking over on downs at their own 10, got a Weston touchdown pass covering 10 yards to Kaeden Gum — on fourth down — to go up 27-8 with 3:10 left in the first half.

The Bulldogs’ comeback started with a 5-yard touchdown run from Moses at 2:48 of the third quarter. After a Whitefish punt pinned the Broncs deep, Weston took a safety out of punt formation at 9:48 of the fourth.

The strategy backfired: The ensuing free kick was returned to Hamilton’s 47, and on first down Luke Dalen found Moses on a drag route and the running back took it all the way in for the touchdown.

The Bulldogs missed the ensuing PAT kick to leave the gap at 27-23 but got the ball back  on Jayke Thew’s interception and 22-yard return with 6:41 left.

Starting at its 42, Whitefish drove to the Hamilton 26 before stalling, turning it over on downs with 2:48 left. The Southwest A Broncs (2-0) ran out the clock.
