Libby native and U.S. Olympian Konnor Ralph placed ninth in men’s freeski slopestyle at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics and will compete again in big air on Feb. 15. 

A major update to the Flathead River Comprehensive Management Plan proposes new regulations—including a future float‑permit system, caps on outfitter user days, and restrictions on camping, noise, drones, and waste. Public comment is open through March 13.

In local news, Kalispell resident Cheyenne Autumn Leaf received a deferred prosecution agreement after allegedly throwing a menu board at another person in 2024.

Ronan High School students participated in a national walkout protesting ICE following fatal shootings in Minneapolis.
