Logan Health President Kevin Abel is stepping down from his position, effective March 1, according to the health care organization.

Abel was named co-CEO of Logan Health and Billings Clinic in March 2024, sharing the title with Clint Seger for a year. Based in Billings, Seger was named the organization’s sole CEO in November 2025.

In a press release, Abel reflected positively on his eight years at Logan Health and said he supports Seger taking the helm.

“When you combine Clint’s clinical and leadership experience with the talent, compassion and devotion of our caregivers and staff, Logan Health is exceptionally well positioned to deliver outstanding care for decades to come,” Abel said.

Abel previously served as president of Logan Health Medical Center and Logan Health Whitefish. Prior to that role, he was the CEO of Logan Health Whitefish, formerly North Valley Hospital.

Following his departure in March, Abel said he plans to temporarily step away from health care leadership to spend time with family before exploring future opportunities.

“I am deeply grateful for the many relationships formed over the years, and I am incredibly proud of the work being done every day across our system,” he added. “Logan Health has a very bright future.”
