Christa Gunther Kloetzke was born June 19, 1935, in Germany. During the war years it was a struggle and Christa tells of family going to Bodenbach to meet her father after the war, before the border was closed. The post-war years were challenging. They moved to the valley and Christa worked for Dr. Bennett at the Columbia Falls Clinic in the early 1970s. When Dr. Bennett sold his practice to Dr. Doug Pitman and Dr. Chet Hope, Christa worked for them until her retirement in 1997. Christa and Bob enjoyed motorcycle trips and fall hunting. She enjoyed her yard, flowers, garden and her animals. She was a competitive bowler and enjoyed bingo.
