Glacier Twins A top Bitterroot Bucs A twice

The Glacier Twins matched hits for runs in the opening game of a Class A American Legion baseball doubleheader at Memorial Field Tuesday evening, winning 11-1 over the Bitterroot Bucs.

Colby Clark-Dickinson led the hit parade, going 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs.

Jack Schwaiger and Jack Price also had two hits each and two RBIs.

Glacier scored in every inning but the second, closing out the blowout with a five-run fifth inning.

Clark-Dickinson pitched 4 2/3 innings to claim the victory. He fanned seven batters, allowed three hits and walked one.

Glacier pounded out another 11 hits in the second game, winning 7-2.

Clark-Dickinson followed with another 3 for 3 effort. He doubled and drove in three runs.

Schwaiger and Nathan Hader had two hits each. Hader doubled and drove in a run.

Forrest Kobelt, Hader and Jay Tyree combined on a 3-hitter with Kobelt going 3 1/3 innings to get the win.

Next on the schedule for the Glacier Twins is its Sapa-Johnsrud Memorial Tournament, which begins Thursday. The Twins play the Spokane Cannons at 7:30 p.m.
