Man killed in snowmobile accident
Life Flight took a man to a Missoula hospital after a snowmobile injury at Canyon Creek Saturday morning. He suffered severe head trauma and was unconscious when the Flathead County Sheriff's Office received the report. He later died from his injuries.

Kalispell Police made six arrests at an underage party on Ashley Drive. Two 16-year-old girls and a 20-year-old man were charged with underage drinking. Another 20-year-old man was arrested for obstructing an officer as well as MIP. A 21-year-old man was arrested for obstructing an officer, and a 20-year-old man was arrested on a warrant from another jurisdiction.

Dr. William A. "Doc" Kimball, 78, a Bigfork resident, passed away December 26th in Kalispell Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Sgt. Scott Douglas Dykman of Harrison "was taken from us" Dec. 20, 2006, while doing his duty. The Army had become home for Scott; he had found his niche and had planned to make the Army his career. Shortly before his death he had attained the rank of sergeant. He was so proud of that accomplishment.

Rosella K. Beckwith, 90, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's. She was born April 18, 1916, in Washington to parents Rosa and Lee King, who came West in a covered wagon from Missouri. Rosella lived a long life full of love and service to others.

On Airport Road, nothing literally burned, but a resident was steamed when his girlfriend moved out and took all the food.

Even the pet birds and cats were saved when Kalispell Fire Department went to a house fire on Fifth Avenue West Thursday night. The fire started in a closet of the home. Faulty electrical wiring is the suspected cause of the fire.

Fire damages mobile home
A child playing with matches or a lighter is the suspected cause of a fire Thursday morning in a mobile home on College Avenue. The Kalispell and Evergreen fire departments were called at 9:30 a.m. with reports that people might be inside the burning home. Kalispell police helped a young man out of the trailer; several children and another adult escaped safely. About 10 firefighters were able to knock down the fire within minutes, but damage was estimated at $8,000. The owners reportedly have no insurance, and the American Red Cross was contacted.

Truck fire might be arson
The Kalispell Fire Department was called at 2:30 a.m. Thursday for a truck fire in the 300 block of Second Avenue East. Smoke and flames were coming from the passenger area and the engine compartment of a Chevy S-10. Officials suspected the fire may have been deliberately set. Anyone with information should call detective Sgt. Brian Fulford at the Police Department at 758-7793.
