abandoned on East Lakeshore Drive. All the windows are broken, the tires are flat, and there are suspicious-looking black trash bags in it, according to a caller. A deputy learned that the vehicle is a prop for a movie being shot in Whitefish.

Columbia Falls police went to a non-injury accident
Sunday night on Meadowlake Boulevard. One man was arrested for DUI and another was arrested for two warrants.
Evergreen and Kalispell fire departments and Montana Highway Patrol went to a vehicle accident
Sunday on Whitefish Stage Road and Reserve Drive. The crash blocked traffic and one vehicle leaked gas. Two people went to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Kalispell police are looking for the vandals who painted obscene images
that were reported at three locations Monday. Two buildings on Woodland Drive were defaced, along with the Flathead Food Bank's delivery van. Lori Botkin, executive director of the Food Bank, said that instead of spending money on food, the nonprofit agency now has to remove the obscenity from its vehicle. It has an estimate of $250 from a body shop, she said. Anyone with information on the vandalism should call Kalispell police at 758-7780. Police Chief Frank Garner said there were seven reports of similar damage during the weekend. Charges against vandals can rise to the felony level.

Montana native and longtime Flathead resident Laila S. Pearson passed away peacefully on July 19, 2006. She was 83. Laila Jean Stranahan was born the only child of Benjamin and Genevieve Stranahan in Fort Benton on June 22, 1923.
