The yellow airplane towing a banner over the Flathead Valley for the past several days is part of the Center for Bioethical Reform's national aborted-baby billboard project.

The flying banner declares "Stop the War," shows a photograph of an aborted fetus and gives the toll-free phone number for the nonprofit center.

A recorded phone message explains the organization's rationale for displaying graphic abortion photos on billboards and banners through its Reproductive "Choice" Campaign.

The center, founded in 1990 as a privately funded nonprofit education group, aims to "establish prenatal justice and the right to life for the unborn, the disabled, the infirm, the aged and all vulnerable peoples through education and the development of cutting-edge educational resources," according to the organization's Web site.

"CBR operates on the principle that abortion represents an evil so inexpressible that words fail us when attempting to describe its horror," the Web site states.

One resident complained to Kalispell Police about the plane Monday, saying it is a public nuisance and noisy.
