Gayle Applegate, 77

Gayle Applegate, 77, passed away at home on April 6, 2005.

He was born on July 2, 1927, in Deer Lodge, to Carl and Helen Applegate. He attended school in Deer Lodge.

Gayle married the love of his life, Rosalyn Forkan, on April 17, 1948, in Anaconda. They resided in Anaconda and he retired from the Anaconda Company after 30 years.

He was a member of the Eagles, March of Dimes and the Anaconda Catholic Community. Gayle also enjoyed many activities including hunting, fishing, bowling and spending time at his cabin that he built at Georgetown Lake. He was an avid Flathead Braves football fan for 30 years. He will always be remembered, but sadly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife; son, Bob Applegate of Kalispell; daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Dave Snow of Anaconda; grandchildren, Jeff and Misty Snow of Anaconda, Summer Pezzi of Washington, and Max and Ali Applegate of Kalispell; great-grandchildren, Grady and Ryan Snow and Malakah Pezzi. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Joe and John Forkan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At his request there will be no services. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Memorials requested to Discovery House, Hospice, Project Hope or donor's choice.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of KT Riddle Funeral Home, Anaconda.
