The high price of gasoline might have been the motive for three men who were caught trying to steal fuel out of vehicles in a hotel parking lot on U.S. 2 West. Kalispell police counseled the trio, but later they were found circling the parking lot again. This time, the caller asked that police kick them off the lot for good.

An unattended bag found in the parking lot of Southfield Tower turned out to be the briefcase of a man who was taking a flight out of town. Police said they'd keep the bag until he gets back.

Kids in the 400 block of Liberty Street were playing "dreadful loud" rock music that was disturbing neighbors.

About 75 CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Third Avenue East.

Two men were arrested for disorderly conduct on Airport Road in an incident that involved them pointing a gun at another person.
