Apparently it is not always more blessed to give than to receive, according to a Salvation Army employee who told Kalispell police Friday afternoon about a suspicious donation. The alert worker reported that a backpack at the store was found to contain a video titled, "Ultimate Sniper," and a boarding pass from a London trip. The items were placed in safekeeping until further notice.

Several kids were reported attempting to string bikes up the flagpole at Russell School Friday evening. There are no descriptions of the bikers or the bikes.

In another education-related event, a custodian at Flathead High School reported that someone shot out a school window with what was believed to be a pellet gun.

Police were advised of 11 white puppies left unattended in a parked vehicle at Kalispell Center Mall Friday. The puppies appeared to be in fine health and an officer checked later to ensure the vehicle was gone.

Late Friday night, four teenagers and a 23-year-old were arrested during a traffic stop on 11th Street West. The 23-year-old was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and the other four with DUI Possession of Alcohol.

A public safety complaint of smoky air was reported on Sylvan Court. This was believed to have been caused by a county-controlled burn beyond the Willow Glen area.
