A pair of resolutions favoring two new housing developments will be the focus of the Columbia Falls City Council meeting tonight.

In one, the council is poised to approve a conditional use permit for four four-plex apartment buildings at the end of Diane Road. Glenn Kolodejchuk and Forrest Buck are proposing the development in the Hilltop Homes subdivision.

The second resolution would approve a preliminary plat for a resubdivision of Williams Estates, off Bill's Lane.

John Carabin wants to develop a five-lot residential subdivision there on 1.2 acres just north of U.S. 2 and east of Third Avenue East.

In a consent agenda item, Terry Moody is asking to build a driveway to a lot he owns near the old city well property in Mosquito Flats, near a developing Habitat for Humanity project. Part of his proposal involves putting city infrastructure into Fourth Avenue instead of Third Avenue, as the city had proposed.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in City Hall.
