Kalispell police found the solution to a years-old crime when a woman bought some speakers from a pawn shop and discovered identification and credit cards inside one of them. The owner had reported the items stolen from his vehicle years ago.

Pawn shops were also involved when a Bluestone woman whose vacuum was stolen last October or November found it at a pawn shop; ditto with a digital/video camera stolen from Liberty Street.

Someone reportedly broke into a a home on Two Mile Drive and cut a TV cable.

Extra patrol was requested near the high school where students reportedly smoke and drink in the alleys.

On Three Mile Drive, a man reportedly pulled out into traffic and almost caused an accident, and then made an unfriendly gesture and yelled at someone who objected.

A woman says her former fiance calls her at work to harass her.

A man who thought a fight would be the perfect ending to a night at Fatt Boys was shown the door; he left before officers arrived. An unwelcome woman on 10th Avenue West took a taxi home before a patrol car arrived.

A woman near the library didn't like obscenities hurled at her from a man early Tuesday morning. Assault was reported at Montana Tile and Marble where a finger was jammed.

Three calls were made to police about a civil problem at the Loading Dock building.

A two-month guest at Super 8 motel reportedly used false business information about payment.
