People who found unlikely places for repose Friday didn't welcome a lot of questions from Flathead County Sheriff's Office deputies. A woman on U.S. 93, north of Twin Bridges Road was reportedly uncooperative with officers and said there was nothing wrong; she was just resting. A man lying in a ditch on Seventh Avenue West North, north of Idaho Street, said he had found a place to enjoy the sunshine.

On Edgewood Drive, a woman said she was jogging with her dog Friday morning when a large dog broke its chain and bit her dog. The aggressive dog's owners threatened her and told her to walk on the other side of the street from now on, she said.

On Church Drive, a resident said a neighbor was blocking the neighbor's driveway with a cat - presumably the heavy-equipment kind. Sugar in gas tanks damaged vehicles and snowmobiles near the Dew Drop Inn.

No one was hurt in two rush-hour traffic accidents on U.S. 2 Friday.

An 8-foot ladder was stolen from Costco. A theft from a vehicle was reported at Grizzly Automotive. A theft was reported on Valley View Drive.

A man being booked into jail had what officers believe is a counterfeit $50 bill.

A domestic disturbance was reported on Pleasant Valley Road. At Montana Village, a resident wanted an unwelcome woman there removed.

Workers at a construction site on North Ashley Road encountered two men in a Jeep who said an electrician sent them to the make sure everything was locked up. Not so, said the electrician, who was suspicious about what the men were doing there.

The maker of harassing calls to agreed to stop when the recipient complained. A boy has reportedly harassed other students at Smith Valley School.
