Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested five people on drug charges Thursday at a motel. Police received information about a drug deal in progress, leading to four people who were charged with possession of dangerous drugs and one man who was charged with possession with intent to sell. The drug is suspected to be methamphetamine, said officer Jim Wardensky. One of the suspects also was arrested on a warrant for probation violation; another was out of jail on bond for a felony theft charge.

There is surely an explanation for why a naked man hung onto the back of a dark sport utility vehicle driving on East Oregon Street as he yelled, "I'm sorry!"

A man was arrested for DUI.

A concerned relative reported a woman who went to the store at 2 p.m. Thursday and still hadn't returned by 4 a.m. Friday.

A man sleeping in a truck near the college tennis courts found out that's not the place for slumber. Neither is Seventh Avenue West, where another driver did the same thing.

Air was let out of tires on East Oregon Street, Eighth Avenue East and Sixth Avenue East.

Threats were reported on Fifth Avenue East. Harassing calls were reported on Fairway Boulevard.

A caller told a Leisure Drive woman that her credit card had been fraudulently used and then fished around for account information from her. She wouldn't tell him anything. She called her credit-card company, and a representative said her card has not been improperly used.

Two people worried about a dog left in a silver truck that was parked in the sun outside of Barley's restaurant.

A Hispanic man in his 30s or 40s, wearing a red T-shirt, yelled profanities and proclaimed that he hates the United States.

On East Idaho Street, a man said he was waiting in the turning lane when a man walked up and struck him in the face.
