The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took a report from a resident near Lakeside, where a deputy had left a note for whomever has been trespassing there. Now, the interloper has moved more things onto the property. More notes and more deputy visits will follow until the trespasser goes away.

Shooting was a problem on Clothier Lane, but no one was hurt and no property was damaged.

A man told a fishing companion that he couldn't swim, but the companion flipped their canoe on McWinegar Slough anyway. Punches ensued.

Someone intervened when a woman at Whitefish Lake reportedly pushed her young daughter in the water, made her swallow water and choke, and then hit her in the back. At Del's bar in Somers, someone saw a woman repeatedly hit a young boy with a belt.

A woman said she slapped her stepdaughter when she heard the girl had gone out with an 18-year-old man. The man's father then reportedly went over and got the girl.

Brothers fought about money at West Glacier. A trespasser reportedly shut down a man's excavator. Neighborhood strife was reported at Montana Village. Hang-up calls were a problem on McMannamy Draw. Threats on Wild Turkey Lane arose over a video game player that's missing.

There were about as many complaints of fireworks as there were reports of reckless driving.

A sexual assault was reported at Lake 5.

A Ford truck missing from Columbia Falls turned up in Martin City. Break-ins were reported at Conestoga Court.

A vehicle window was broken on Lower Lost Prairie Road. A window was pried open on a mobile home near Woody's, and items inside were taken. A car for sale that was parked on U.S. 93 was the source of a new carburetor for a thief.
