Closer than they appear

"I think I see them," says Evie Berg, 4, of Berkeley, Calif., who is impressed with the view when she holds hold her binoculars backward while keeping an eye out for her mother and grandmother, who were kayaking on MacDonald Lake. "I don't think you're going to see them with the binoculars that way," said Evie's father, Jessie, who is seated next to her.
