The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took a report that dogs killed chickens on Lake Blaine Drive. Dogs chased children on Kelly Road. A dog bit a child on Dunmovin Lane. A chorus of dogs barked at Glacier Mountain Shadows.

Two men with long hair, beards, and combat boots were reportedly carrying assault rifles Thursday on Foy's Lake Road. A deputy thinks the weapons were more likely paintball guns.

A resident on Grand Avenue claims to be harassed by neighbors. Ditto on Church Drive. An assault was reported at the Dam Town Tavern, but no one wanted to cooperate with an investigation. Harassment was reported at Wal-Mart. Two property owners on Solberg Drive will have to work out their boundary dispute without law-enforcement's help. A dispute on Willow Glen Drive was over a car.

A man who staked out a piece of sidewalk near Town Pump in Evergreen didn't want to leave, but did. A man was told to get out and stay out at Chumley's in Bigfork. He didn't. A man in a pork-pie hat who talked to himself and harassed people at Glacier Merc was told to move on.

It was the haste with which two cars drove to Leisure Island Thursday night that made someone wonder what the drivers were up to. It turns out they were in a hurry to look at the stars. They left at a more leisurely pace.

A woman and six children got lost hiking at Lone Pine. A couple of women led them out.

A woman returned home on South Cedar Drive to find money missing and evidence that someone had watched a movie there, as well.
