are investigating an armed robbery that was reported late Sunday, allegedly involving a man in a red Corsica who tried to rob a pedestrian at knifepoint. The car pulled up alongside the pedestrian near Fifth Avenue East and Center Street, with the driver asking whether the man needed a ride. The man said no, and the driver got out of the car and allegedly pulled a knife, demanding money. The pedestrian said he had none, and was able to walk to Tidyman's to call for help.

After hitting a car with his truck on Ninth Avenue West on Monday morning, a driver was big enough to say, "I don't have insurance" before driving off. Police are investigating the hit-and-run, looking for the driver of a red Ford 150 truck with Washington license plates.

The department's animal control officer transported a dog from a veterinarians office to the county shelter Monday. The dog was picked up during the weekend in Woodland Park with an unusual, painful problem - a fish hook in the mouth.

A possible burglary was reported at the Montana Beach Club on Main Street on Sunday night.

A truck slid into the Office Solutions building on Sunset Boulevard on Monday afternoon.

Multiple items were reported stolen from an apartment on Second Avenue East.

The burglary was thought to have occurred during the weekend.
