Kalispell police arrested two boys early Tuesday morning in connection with break-ins to vehicles.

Brothers Michael and Brian Radabah, 16 and 14, respectively, were arrested on suspicion of felony theft, trespass to vehicles and curfew violations.

They were arrested at about 1:30 a.m. after a report that a vehicle was broken into on Birchwood Drive.

Investigators believe the boys broke into 60 to 80 vehicles in the past two weeks, according to Police Chief Frank Garner. Among the items they allegedly took are 10 wallets, six purses, CDs, cash, stereo equipment, jewelry, coats, and calculators.

"None of these were from locked vehicles," Garner said.

He said 100 to 150 vehicles have been burglarized in the past four or five weeks. Officers have arrested nine people for break-ins in recent weeks.

"We can't preach the message enough," Garner said: Lock vehicles and do not leave valuables inside them to tempt thieves.
