Amelda Lucille Bruch, 83

Amelda Lucille Bruch, 83, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

She was born on Sept. 5, 1922, in Opheim, to John and Francis (Engels) Redfield. Amelda received her early education in Opheim, graduating from high school there.

She married Gerald Bruch on Nov. 26, 1941, in Kalispell. The couple lived in Kila for a short time before moving back to Opheim.

Amelda was a loving mother and devoted wife. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery and baking. In 1969 the family moved to Havre where Gerald retired from the railroad in 1975. At this time the family moved to Kalispell where Amelda was a member of the Central Bible Church.

Amelda was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, in 1985, one brother and two sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Pauline Bruch of Kalispell, Lucille Houtz and husband, David, of Great Falls; and one son, Marvin Bruch and wife, Joyce, of Portland; one sister, Elona Krikorian of Glasgow; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Amelda will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at the Glacier Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday at Johnson Mortuary from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3550 Mullan Road Suite 105, Missoula, MT 59808.
